I had a great stay at this hotel in Durham. The location is superb, right in the city center, allowing easy access to shops and entertainment. The rooms were warm and had a couch that could be turned into a bed, which was useful for my family. Although the standards might have dropped over the years, the clean and comfy room made up for it. The only downside was the poor mattress in the family room that affected my children's sleep.

The staff, especially Robbie, Paul, and the unnamed young girl at the restaurant and bar, were incredibly kind and went above and beyond to ensure a pleasant stay.
